Course

We’ll depart from Lisbon and head to Conimbriga (approx. 2 hours), where we’ll visit the ruins of the Roman city and the museum dedicated to its history, which houses important artifacts that tell the story of daily life in the ancient city.

Inhabited since prehistoric times, the site of Conímbriga was occupied by Roman troops in 139 B.C., after which it became the prosperous capital of the province of Lusitania.

We also visited the PO.RO.S Museum right next door, where we had the opportunity to learn about and experience, in three dimensions, the great adventure of the epic Romanization of Lusitania.

Along the way, there will be time for lunch at a local restaurant (not included)

We returned to Lisbon after a memorable day spent among the Romans and enjoying the flavors of the mountains!
