Course
The journey takes you through natural landscapes of rare beauty, where the Arrábida Mountains slope gently down to the sea, creating some of the country’s most idyllic beaches, such as Galápos, Galapinhos, and Portinho da Arrábida. With white sands and crystal-clear waters, these virtually untouched settings offer unique moments of contemplation, in stark contrast to the pace of city life.
At the heart of this experience lies the winemaking heritage of the Setúbal Peninsula. The region is world-renowned for producing the iconic Moscatel de Setúbal, a fortified wine of great aromatic complexity that is deeply rooted in the local identity. Visits to carefully selected producers offer an opportunity to discover native grape varieties, production methods, and stories that span generations, culminating in guided tastings that awaken all the senses.
In addition to wine, Azeitão adds a rich cultural dimension to the itinerary. The town is also known for its traditional handcrafted tiles, an artistic expression deeply rooted in Portuguese history. A visit to Azeitão offers a chance to experience this unique craftsmanship, where hand-painted tiles depict scenes from daily life, natural motifs, and classic patterns, serving as a living testament to the region’s cultural identity.
Fully customizable and tailored to your pace, this private wine-tasting tour is ideal for wine enthusiasts, couples, small groups, or travelers seeking a sophisticated and unique experience, far from the usual tourist routes.
